User Preferences

A new page "Workflow Preferences" is added in OIPA, which allows the User to personalize the presentation of the Workflow tab and establish the User's preferred Home landing page.

  • Normally, the user's default Home landing page is the Dashboard tab. The Workflow User may modify the Home landing page by checking the Default check box on the Workflow Preferences page and clicking Save. This makes the Workflow tab the default landing page when the Home button is clicked.

    • The user may change the landing page back to the Dashboard tab by unchecking the Default check box.
  • The workflow widget display settings for the respective user will be updated automatically on the User preference page when the user is assigned a new workflow role or removed from an existing workflow role. This updated setting will be displayed on the workflow dashboard by default. If the user still wishes to change their workflow preference settings, it has to be done manually.

  • The user may modify the queues that are presented on the Workflow tab of the Home page by moving Available widgets to Selected widgets.
    • When this move from Available to Selected has been saved the default presentation is overridden by the choices in the Selected box.
    • The default presentation displays the queues to which the user has access in alphabetical order according to the title of the queue. The newly added workflow queues are added at the end of the existing queues already present in the Selected widget pane.

  • The user may re-position the queues displayed on the Workflow tab of the Home page by dragging the queue's representation under the Sample Pane to a desired position relative to other Selected widgets.

Steps to change the workflow settings

  1. Click on the dropdown beside the user name, and select Preferences.

  2. Under the User Preferences pane on the left-hand side, click Workflow Preferences.

  3. Under Select, the Widget pane, select and move the widgets from the Available pane to the Selected pane using the arrow keys and vice versa. The user can select multiple queues at once.

  4. Click Save.
